SyncDNA, the company redefining real-time collaboration for professional audio, has announced the launch of Track Record, a new feature that enables high-quality remote recording directly into a producer’s DAW. Built on the company’s proven synchronisation and media transmission technology, Track Record delivers a recording experience designed to feel indistinguishable from working together in the same studio.

Bringing Studio Control to Remote Sessions

Track Record builds upon the core technology to provide a seamless, lossless, and secure remote recording workflow. The system connects a Studio user running a DAW with a remote performer using the SyncDNA standalone application, creating a true session environment across any distance.

The Studio user can operate their DAW much as they would during a local recording session. Using the SyncDNA Transmit plugin, they can send a headphone mix or backing track to the remote artist, while a new Receive plugin captures the performance directly back into the DAW timeline.

On the artist’s side, the workflow is equally straightforward: the performer simply opens the SyncDNA app, selects an audio interface, and joins the session. There are no sample rate mismatches, file imports, or monitoring setups to manage. The Studio user retains full control of the transport, giving the artist freedom to focus purely on their performance.

A Complete Remote Recording Solution

Track Record is part of a fully integrated ecosystem that enables recording, monitoring, and real-time communication without the need for any third-party applications. This makes SyncDNA a complete solution for remote production, eliminating the patchwork of tools often used to manage online sessions.

Through an expanded use of the SyncDNA Delay plugin, engineers can delay their local playback to monitor the artist’s live performance as it is transmitted. Each take appears in the DAW as if recorded locally, maintaining perfect timeline alignment and workflow consistency.

Professional-Grade Remote Audio

Track Record supports up to stereo (multi-mono) 96k recordings, with zero loss in capture quality during transmission. All data is encrypted to ensure the security and integrity of every take.

Designed for Collaboration and Post

Multiple guests can join any Track Record session, enabling directors, producers, or clients to listen in and contribute feedback using real-time markers and comments. For post-production teams, Track Record integrates directly with Non Lethal’s Cue Pro, allowing ADR sessions to run with fully synchronised video overlays and audio cues inside Pro Tools.

The Future of Remote Recording

"Track Record represents a significant step forward in how studios and artists can collaborate remotely," says Gary Lux, Co-Founder. "It removes the technical barriers that have made remote sessions cumbersome and gives everyone the experience of working together in the same room."

Documentation and setup guides are available at https://docs.syncdna.com/remote-recording-protools.html.

Track Record is now available to all SyncDNA users.
